About me

Welcome to my website. I’m Nathan, and I enjoy painting and drawing, mainly in my local area which is in Kingston upon Thames, just outside London, UK.

I studied art and design at Winchester School of Art and Middlesex University, and having taken a lengthy hiatus on my creative journey, I’ve picked up my brushes again. I was a bit rusty to start with yet I’ve persevered, making some gloriously terrible work before having anything I could remotely share with the world.

Spurred on by my patient and ever supportive family, I’ve been encouraged to leap into social media and the world of Etsy with my more recent work, some of which has found new homes, which is wonderful.

And now a website -
Here you can see some of my work in greater detail, send me any enquiries you might have about making a specific piece and even have a piece of my work of your own if you like it.

About my work

My work is generally landscapes. Looking at my body of work as a whole, the common thread is the way I observe the contrast of light through spaces within the viewer’s gaze and how emotive the natural landscape can be.

On a deeper level my paintings explore metaphors for hope and empathy, through the viewer’s perception of warmth, light and the cyclical nature of the seasons.

I hope this is something which resonates with you also and that you enjoy the art here.
